Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Hayden Pickens can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Hayden Wayne Pickens

After nine days on this earth, Hayden Wayne Pickens, the precious son of Dustin and Alissa Pickens of Leivasy, WV gained his angel wings and returned to the Lord early Thursday morning, May 19th, 2022 at WVU Medicine - JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born May 10, 2022.

Hayden is deeply loved by his mommy and daddy; big sisters Sophia, Sadie, and Skylar; his grandparents Herman and Carol Pickens, and grandma Paula New; great grandparents Paul and Betty Smith, and Dallas and JoAnn Pickens; his aunts, uncles and cousins; his church family of Maple Grove Church; and many others. They will hold him again in Heaven one day.

Awaiting his arrival in Heaven were his big brother Elijah Ryan Pickens; his grandpa Kevin Berkley; his great-grandparents Willard and Dorothy Christian; his great-great grandparents Loeda and Harry Shaffer; and his great-aunt Christy Smith.

A funeral service in honor of Hayden will be held at the First Baptist Church of Racine, 520 River Rd., Racine, WV 25165 on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at 6:00 pm officiated by Pastor Herbie Pruitt, with interment immediately following the funeral service at the Peters Cemetery in Drawdy, WV.

Friends may call on the family at the church one hour prior to the start of the funeral service from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Saturday.
