Obituary for Gregory Jon Humphrey

Gregory Jon Humphrey, 58, of Masontown, passed away on Monday, December 12th, 2022 at WVU Medicine - JW Ruby Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Davenport, Iowa on January 27th, 1964, a son of Carl Humphrey, Sr. and Betty Brown Humphrey of Melbourne, FL.

In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by three children, Jessica Marie Humphrey, Gregory Jon Humphrey, Jr., and William Eugene Humphrey; his siblings Ron (Cathy) Humphrey, Teresa (Robert) Sons, and Carl Humphrey, Jr.; his three nieces and one nephew, Cynthia Sons, Danielle (Joe) Lettiere, Ron Humphrey Jr., and Tabitha Lovely, as well as his great nieces and great nephews.

Greg graduated from Lockport High School in Lockport, IL. After graduation, he served in the United States Navy, having been stationed in Norfolk, VA on the USS Eisenhower for four years, obtaining his honorable discharge. He continued his military service by serving another nine years in the United States Army, lastly as a financial management technician.

Greg lived a simple life, but dearly loved his children who will sorely miss him.

Following private services for the immediate family only, Greg will be inurned at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown with Full Military honors accorded.
