Obituary for Edna Florence Austin
Edna Florence Ault Austin, 77, of Morgantown passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 at WVU Medicine - JW Ruby Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Morgantown on May 10th, 1945, the only child of the late Jesse and Mildred Waite Ault.
Edna is survived by her son James "Jamie" Austin of Morgantown; daughter Jacqueline "Jacquie" Yost of Morgantown; her grandchildren Cory Austin, Andrew Yost and his wife Kaylin, Jacob Yost, Jessica Austin, Brooke Delaney and Ross Justice; her great-grandchildren Heston Yost and Gentry Yost; her son-in-law, James Blaszek of Morgantown; and her faithful furry friend Chloe. Edna is also survived by many cousins who she always thought of as her siblings.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Austin, and her daughter-in-law, Shari Austin.
Edna was a graduate of Morgantown High School and was very involved with her church, Rock Ministries. Most everyone who knew her well knew her as the Manager of the former Wonderbread Store on Greenbag Road. Her favorite pastime was crafting, and she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.
At the request of the family, a private graveside committal service will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Fairmont, where she will be laid to rest with her family. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
