Obituary for Anna Vargo

Anna "Dolly" Vargo, 95, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, March 27th, 2023 at Stonerise of Morgantown.

She was born in Hildebrand, WV on December 7th, 1927, a daughter of the late Mike and Mary Mijovich Vargo.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by her siblings John, Mike, Andy, Frank, Charlie, and George Vargo, Mary Feathers, and Margaret Pfalzgraf.

Ms. Vargo is survived by her nieces and nephews, and a sister-in-law Carol Vargo.

Dolly was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Star City. She worked for Davis and Lynch Glass Factory lastly as a grinder but held many other positions there. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends, as well as gardening and canning.

Friends may join the family to honor Dolly's life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Westover / Morgantown on Saturday, April 1st from 9:30 AM until the time of the blessing service at 11:00 AM with Father John McDonough officiating. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her family.

Dolly's family wishes to thank the entire staff at Stonerise of Morgantown, as well as Sharon Doyle, Joan Gregg, and Carol Vargo for their love and care.
